Relationship Building Comes First

Great networkers are not created in a day; it takes time and patience. Simply attending meetings or sending off emails into the universe is not enough – you will not grow your business this way – I heard a great quote last night that I want to share with you – “ People refer business to those they know, like and trust” so before you expect quality leads you must first build a relationship and tap into that persons “Brain search engine” (this is the list of people that pop up when they are asked about something) - once you build a relationship you will “rank” in their mind and you will be the first they call!

Challenge;

Brainstorm and come up with 5 or more ways you can build a relationship with someone both locally and long distance/online - Email me the list – I will comply the responses and post the list

Dress for Success

In the first two minutes you create an impression so here are some things to keep in mind to ensure you create a great/lasting impression

Don’t talk too much
Don’t sell in the wrong places
Don’t be overanxious to shake hands
Don’t get too physically close to people
Know the persons name and how to pronounce it
Be alert, articulate, warm, and friendly
Be on time for appointments
Be conscious of your posture
Don’t use profanity-ever
Don’t talk about religion, politics, or controversial topics
Forget about yourself, concentrate on who you are talking to and lastly
Lastly remember to dress professionally and appropriately
